FINRA ARBITRATION (Financial Regulatory Authority)
If you’ve invested with a licensed investment firm, advisor or stockbroker, you’ve likely agreed to a provision to arbitrate any disputes. These provisions are usually buried in the fine print of your account documents.
It is typically less costly and faster to use arbitration or mediation as a way to settle a dispute than to take a case to court. FINRA, facilitates almost all disputes / claims between investors and their brokers/advisors. FINRA operates the largest securities dispute resolution forum in the world, and has extensive experience providing a fair, efficient and effective place to handle a securities-related dispute. Investors and parties in the securities industry can all resolve disputes by arbitration or mediation through FINRA’s dispute resolution forum.
Below is what the process can look like once we’ve filed your claim:
As with any contractual dispute or civil claim, allowing too much time to pass may bar or prevent a claim in State courts or in a FINRA arbitration. If you believe you’ve been injured, please act quickly and have it reviewed sooner than later.
